To our community,
In response to COVID-19 we have closed our office, but our staff, in self-isolation, are busy trying to minimise the disruption to our publishing ventures. In the coming months we’ll be releasing Skyglow, a debut collection of short stories by West Australian author Leslie Thiele, and we’re very excited about it.
These are especially difficult times for our booksellers, but many of them are taking orders over the phone and online and offering free delivery to locals in their area. Support them if you are able to. All of the events that our authors would have participated in over the coming months have been cancelled. Please support them as well, and the other authors in our community, in any way you can. Read and share an online review, tune into a radio interview or listen to a podcast, participate in an online book club or book launch.
We also want to take this opportunity to acknowledge the organisers of the Margaret River Reader and Writers Festival and other festivals who have had to cancel. We know how difficult and disappointing it must have been to come this decision because of the many hours put into planning these events; events that are integral to our literary ecosystem.
It has been heartening to see our community rallying across social media. Keeping supporting each other.
We wish you all the very best in these troubling times. Stay healthy and safe.
