Miriam Wei Wei Lo writes poetry, creative non-fiction, performance pieces, and books for children. She is of mixed Chinese-Malaysian and Anglo-Australian descent. She was born in Canada, grew up in Singapore, and now lives in Margaret River, Western Australia. She studied Literature and History at the University of Western Australia, and has a PhD in Creative Writing from the University of Queensland. She is a past winner of the Western Australian Premier’s Prize for Poetry. Miriam currently works part time for Sheridan College. She is a member of SCBWI and also of several writing groups. She is married to Mike, who works as a Baptist pastor. They have three children. She loves snorkelling, gardening, talking to God, cooking, bashing out a tune on the piano, and playing with words.
